New Video Online - High Voltage Arc Dischagre
High voltage arc discharge actuators are used for flow and combustion control in the recent years. Luftvis refractive schlieren system together with Luftvis High Speed Camera are used to visualize the results flowfield of arc dischager.

Schlieren Visualization | Jet | Transitional Jet from Syringe
The transitional jet from a syringe is visualized by Luftvis Schlieren System. It is interesting to find that the jet from the needle has a transitional feature. At the beginning, the straight laminar part is longer; following the push of the syringe, the jet eventually becomes fully turbulent.
Schlieren Visualization | Using CO2 as Flame Distinguisher
A jar of CO2 is used as the flame distinguisher. As the density of CO2 is heavier than air, the CO2 will fall off the jar as if water is poured out. The CO2 will isolate the flame from air, eventually the combustion could not continue and the candle is out.

The kitchen flame torch is studied. The visualization about the flow field is separated into two parts: Part 1 is the visualization of the cold fuel (butane) jet before the ignition; Part 2 is the visualization of the flame growth after the ignition button is pushed.
