Hanghua CTA06 miniature hot-wire anemometry is a turbulence measurement instrument suitable for engineering and teaching applications. It utilizes a 5-micron tungsten wire probe integrated into a Wheatstone bridge to measure air flow velocity, offering system stability, high temporal resolution, and efficiency.

Key features:

  • Single-channel main unit design with excellent cost-effectiveness
  • Compact and lightweight main unit: 80x50x20 mm, weighing 200g
  • Compatible with hot-wire probes having a cold resistance of 3.5-4.0 ohms, covering most Hanghua and Dantec probes
  • Easy to use, plug and play, no need to set overheat ratio and tune bridge balance
  • Fixed probe operating resistance, default 5.6 ohms (e.g., if the probe cold resistance is 3.5 ohms, the overheat ratio is 5.6/3.5=1.6). Customizable operating resistance within the range of 2-10 ohms
  • Automatic bridge balance adjustment with self-initiated square wave test during startup; bridge response frequency upto 10kHz
  • Automatic probe failure alarm
  • Optional calibrator for automatic calibration
  • Air velocity range: 0.1-120 m/s
  • Overall accuracy: 0.5 m/s or 1% of the reading, whichever is larger
  • Measurement using factory calibration (without user calibration) offers an overall air-flow velocity accuracy of 2 m/s or 3% of the reading, whichever is larger
  • Measurement repeatability: 0.2 m/s or 0.5% of the reading, whichever is larger
  • Software:  compatible with most NI data acquisition cards, allowing parameter configuration, automatic and manual calibration, wind speed acquisition and storage, temperature variation compensation, calculation of flow velocity averages, turbulence intensity, and power spectrum. It supports analysis of both two-dimensional and three-dimensional probes for multidimensional measurements.
